The Virginia Interscholastic Sailing Association League (VISA) consists of high school teams from Virginia. It is part of the MidAtlantic Scholastic Sailing Association (MASSA), which is a district of the InterScholastic Sailing Association (ISSA). VISA schedules and hosts regattas for league members throught the fal and spearing seasons of each school year. The league hosts the Virginia State Championships and holds qualifiers for berths in the Mid-Atlantic District Championships.
The Maryland Interscholastic Sailing Association League (MDISA) consists of high school teams from Maryland, Delaware and Northern Virginia. It is one of 5 leagues comprising the MidAtlantic Scholastic Sailing Association (MASSA), which, in turn, is a district of the InterScholastic Sailing Association (ISSA). The MDISA League was developed by Stovy Brown. Travis Carlisle is the current League Director for MDISA.
The leagues are members of the MidAtlantic Scholastic Sailing Association and they conduct the majority of sailing opportunities for member schools. They are also in charge of selecting teams to attend the district events.
The New York Interscholastic Sailing Association - Northwest League (NYISA-NW) consists of high school teams from western New York including Canadian schools. It was authorized by vote at the 2004-2005 Winter meeting of the MidAtlantic Scholastic Sailing Association (MASSA), which is a district of the InterScholastic Sailing Association (ISSA). The current member schools are located near Rochester, New York, however schools from other areas of upstate New York can join this league. There are no currently district member schools from Pennsylvania. (New member schools from Pennsylvania may join the most convenient league for them with the approval of the MASSA Board of Directors.)
The director of the Northwest league is Jon Faudree who is associated with the Rochester Yacht Club which has a fleet of 420s that supports high school sailing.

The New Jersey Interscholastic Sailing Association League (NJISA) consists of high school teams from New Jersey, and adjacent areas of Pennsylvania. New member schools from Pennsylvania may join the most convenient league for them with the approval of the MASSA board of directors.
The director of the NJISA league is Dr. Randall W. Nunn
NJISA is a member of the MidAtlantic Scholastic Sailing Association [MASSA] and conducts the majority of sailing opportunities for member schools. They are also in charge of selecting teams to attend the district events.,

State, County, and Local re-opening guidelines and modifications were published late on April 16th, making the attached Calendar and events possible. We are working on publishing Notices of Race (NOR) and Online Entry Registrations in compliance with these guidelines. Please review this article for anticipated publish and deadline dates.

ISSA has published the new ISSA Official Procedural Rules for 2021-2024 and these are being mailed out to schools registered in the 2020 year. Please see this helpful guide: “Study Guide Version-Highlighting Changes”
We would highly recommend that ALL sailors and coaches review these rules carefully.
