The New Jersey Interscholastic Sailing Association League (NJISA) consists of high school teams from New Jersey, and adjacent areas of Pennsylvania. New member schools from Pennsylvania may join the most convenient league for them with the approval of the MASSA board of directors.
The director of the NJISA league is Dr. Randall W. Nunn
NJISA is a member of the MidAtlantic Scholastic Sailing Association [MASSA] and conducts the majority of sailing opportunities for member schools. They are also in charge of selecting teams to attend the district events.,
The High School sailing season is now focused on its Spring Nationals which get underway with the Mallory Championship, to be held May 12-14 at MIT in Cambridge, MA. The Mallory Trophy, dedicated in 1930, will determine the best of fleet racing among the 7 Districts across the USA.
Final ranks resulted in Antilles High School taking the first place in the national team race championship! Second place was earned by Point Loma High School and third place went to Milton Academy.
10 teams were in attendance all having qualified through their district eliminations or having received an at large berth. The St Petersburg Yacht Club just recently bought a brand new fleet of J70’s, which were used for the event.
Congratulations to Christchurch School, winners of the 2016 Atlantic Coast Championship.
