The Maryland Interscholastic Sailing Association League (MDISA) consists of high school teams from Maryland, Delaware and Northern Virginia. It is one of 5 leagues comprising the MidAtlantic Scholastic Sailing Association (MASSA), which, in turn, is a district of the InterScholastic Sailing Association (ISSA). The MDISA League was developed by Stovy Brown. Travis Carlisle is the current League Director for MDISA.
The leagues are members of the MidAtlantic Scholastic Sailing Association and they conduct the majority of sailing opportunities for member schools. They are also in charge of selecting teams to attend the district events.
Ten teams from around the state competed for the championship. Winds ranged from 5 to 10 knots, and a light drizzle fell throughout most of the afternoon.
Twenty girls race in Rochester's Girls Only Regatta- Emma Mendenhall and Anna Palmer dominate.
The Mallory Fleet Qualifier was held at Christchurch School on April 20-21, 2013. Eighteen teams were part of the competition. The top four qualifiers were Servern School (100), Annapolis (106) , Broadneck (115) and Christchurch (115).
The Mallory Qualifier was held at Christchurch School under variable wind conditions. Winds were strong during the morning by became calm and shifted by late morning. Afternoon winds were light and the regatta was abandoned for the day after 3 full rotations of A fleet and 2 rotations and one race by B fleet. The top four teams were Christchurch School, Severn School, Broadneck and Mercy/McQuaid. Scores and individual race finishes are below.
