The Maryland Interscholastic Sailing Association League (MDISA) consists of high school teams from Maryland, Delaware and Northern Virginia. It is one of 5 leagues comprising the MidAtlantic Scholastic Sailing Association (MASSA), which, in turn, is a district of the InterScholastic Sailing Association (ISSA). The MDISA League was developed by Stovy Brown. Travis Carlisle is the current League Director for MDISA.
The leagues are members of the MidAtlantic Scholastic Sailing Association and they conduct the majority of sailing opportunities for member schools. They are also in charge of selecting teams to attend the district events.
The first fleet scrimmage for VISA was held at Norfolk Yacht and Country Club on March 9. Nine teams participated. Norfolk Collegiate and Hampton/Pheobus finished first and second based on combined results.
