Marion, MA - Overcast skies, some steady rain, and variable east winds 5-7 kts greeted the competitors this morning. The sailors meeting started on time, the first whistles were at 1020 and with both divisions on the water at the same time, racing moved quickly. The Race Committee worked hard to keep the inner and outer loop trapezoid courses challenging and fair, getting in all ten races per division by 3:20 pm One protest was hear and dismissed by the jury comprised of three US Sailing judges, The top four schools emerged quickly from the pack but the final order was not decided until the very end. Congratulations to Tabor Academy, Cape Cod Academy, Martha's Vineyard RHS, and Sharon HS, who all qualified for the O'Day Finals to be sailed at USCGA in New London, CT tomorrow.
