NJISA Sportsmanship Award
Zach Brooks '21, Central Regional
Coach Rachel Goetting writes: This sailor exhibits the true nature of having good sportsmanship. He is always the first one at practice and rigs as many boats as he can. He always has a good attitude, smiles, and helps out where ever he can. He has shown determination to get better at sailing every day he hits the water. He is a team player within his sailing team and helps others when needed. He always has a joke or a funny story to make his teammates laugh. He has gone from crewing to skippering in high school sailing and improves his skills every time he gets on the water. He truly loves the sport of sailing and sails throughout the year. This sailor has shown true growth while sailing for the Central Regional Sailing Team, and his coaches are very proud to have him on the team! This year’s sportsmanship award goes to a Sophomore, Zach Brooks.
